Many people will view a holiday as a time to eat out however, for those you prefer to eat at the house, there is a supermarket on site at La Torre with a fair choice of food and drink at reasonable prices. There is a good quality large BBQ on which you can comfortably cook for 4 people without having to cook in batches.

However if you enjoy cooking with fresh ingredients, you may like to visit some of the local markets. After all, Murcia is the "market garden" of Spain with food production key to the local economy.

Every village has a market one morning a week. You can buy things such as shoes, clothes and crafts but food will be a major part of

all markets with extremely fresh fruit and vegetables. You will probably encounter butchers and certainly there will be "cold cuts"

especially of delicious "Jamon."

The smaller markets will mainly have food, fruit and vegetables and the larger ones will have crafts and clothing items as well.

Please do remember that markets can be very busy and a haven for pickpockets. Whilst we have never had a problem, stories abound

so be aware and all should be well.
