La Torre has now been open for a few years and with the opening of the 5 Star Inter Continental Hotel in 2009 has a fantastic range of facilities on offer.
The Town Centre is built around a lake and offers the following:

4) Espa - gym, 25 metre pool, sauna, steam room, 6 treatment rooms offering a selection of spa treatments
5) Very large outdoor pool in a landscaped setting overlooking the golf course with vast supply of sun beds.

Located near the Town Centre on the main road into La Torre there is a well stocked Supermarket and a separate Shop. IT IS PROBABLY THE BEST PLACE TO PURCHASE COMPUTER ACCESS CARDS WHICH YOU WILL REQUIRE FOR INTERNET ACCESS and has a computer for public use and a small coffee/snack bar.

The Supermarket
There is a well stocked medium sized supermarket on site and it offers a wide selection of the expected food & drink but also stock many household products, toiletries etc. They do home deliveries - €3 on purchases of less than €30, over that the delivery is free. There is car parking at the side & the rear of the supermarket.
There are 16 swimming pools around the resort all of which are available to you - have a look at the map of the resort. Two pools are located across the road from the villa.
Needless to say the resort’s main attraction is obvious - the golf course. It has been designed and built by Nicklaus Design, Jack Nicklaus’s company. La Torre is one of several courses which make up the “Nicklaus Trail” with several courses both built - La Torre, Mar Menor, El Valle & Hacienda Riquelme - and under construction Condado de Alhama (Jack Nicklaus Signature course) and Terrazas de la Torre, both of which should have some golf available in late 2009 or early 2010.
There are shuttle buses to other resorts which are free of charge to enable you to play the other courses or just visit the facilities for a change of scene.
