Beaches

 There are many beaches within easy reach of La Torre, some easier than others to reach (see Calblanque)!

The closest is an easy 15 minute drive to San Pedro del Pinitar and there are many beaches along the Mar Menor. This website might help you: Mar Menor Beaches

There are many beaches at Mazarron, which is perhaps a 45 minute drive but my personal favourite is Calblanque which is on the Mediterranean Coast.

There are one or two downsides - it is approached via a fairly rough road - you will be glad it is not your own car! - also the sea is somewhat colder than the Mar Menor but still fine during the summer months.

The main thing I would advise is that although Calblanque is not officially a nudist beach quite a number of people use it that way. Depending on your outlook on life you may choose to visit it or not.

The main advantage is the enormous mostly vacant beach with a beautiful rugged coastline. There is not a cafe or beach bar in sight so take a picnic & water if you intend to stay for a while.
